ESTABLISHED CASK CAPITAL
Irish whiskey cask ownership, sourced at off-market prices and managed end to end.
how it works
source
We source casks directly through distillery relationships - including new make and maturing stock unavailable on the open market - at prices below retail cask brokers.
store
Every cask is held in an HMRC-approved bonded warehouse with full insurance. You receive ownership certification and a delivery order in your name - the cask is your property, not a paper promise.
manage
Ongoing account support, periodic revaluations, and regauging as your cask matures. You always know what you own and what it's worth.
Exit
Exit strategy planning from day one: sale back to the trade, sale to another collector, independent bottling, or holding for further maturation. We present the options; you choose.
THE TAX POSITION
Whiskey casks are classed as wasting assets under UK tax law (TCGA 1992 s.44). Gains on disposal may therefore be exempt from Capital Gains Tax. Individual circumstances vary - this is a feature of the asset class, not tax advice, and independent professional advice should always be sought.
UNDERSTAND THE RISKS
Whiskey casks are unregulated alternative assets. Purchases are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and disputes cannot be referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Values can fall as well as rise; past performance is not a guide to future returns; casks are illiquid and sale timing cannot be guaranteed. Established Drinks Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and does not provide financial, investment, or tax advice. Cask ownership should form part of a diversified position and never money you cannot afford to hold long term.
Every engagement starts with a conversation about your goals, timeframe, and budget - casks start from entry-level new make through to rare aged stock.
